TUBITAK will hold a virtual conference on 2 April in order to raise awareness on drug and vaccine development and emergency treatment methods within the scope of fighting against the new type of coronavirus.
“COVID-19” sub-platform was established under the coordination of Gene Engineering and Biotechnology Institute of TUBITAK Marmara Research Center to support vaccine and drug development projects.
According to the announcement made from the social media account of the institution, the conference, which will be held on 2 April to coordinate the platform in question, to especially position the drugs to new targets with a scientific point of view and to raise awareness on drug development, emergency treatment methods, and vaccine development, will start at 10:00.
In the conference, the academicians working intensively in the field from Bahcesehir, Ankara, Medipol, Bilkent, Istanbul, Ankara, Dokuz Eylul, Bogazici, METU, Selcuk, Ege and Acibadem universities will meet. There will be a Q&A part at the end of each session of the conference which will be held in 3 sessions.

TÜBİTAK Marmara Araştırma Merkezine bağlı Gen Mühendisliği ve Biyoteknoloji Enstitüsünün koordinasyonunda, aşı ve ilaç geliştirme projelerini desteklemek için ”COVİD-19 alt platformu” oluşturulmuştu.
Kurumun sosyal medya hesaplarından yapılan duyuruya göre, söz konusu platformun koordinasyonunda, bilimsel bir bakış açısıyla özellikle ilaçların yeni hedeflere konumlandırılması, ilaç geliştirme, acil tedavi yöntemleri ve aşı geliştirme konularında farkındalık oluşturulması amacıyla 2 Nisan’da gerçekleştirilecek konferans, saat 10.00’da başlayacak.
Konferansta, Bahçeşehir, Ankara, Medipol, Bilkent, İstanbul, Ankara, Dokuz Eylül, Boğaziçi, ODTÜ, Selçuk, Ege ve Acıbadem üniversitelerinden alanda yoğun olarak çalışan akademisyenler bir araya gelecek. 3 oturum halinde yapılacak konferansta her oturumun sonunda soru cevap kısmı olacak.
