New ventilators have been built by a Cambridgeshire hospital.
Royal Papworth Hospital this week began being able to use 35 new ventilators to help it provide potentially life-saving care to more patients.
Ventilators take over the body’s breathing process when disease has caused the lungs to fail and are crucial in helping patients seriously ill with coronavirus.
The hospital said: “Huge thanks to our dedicated clinical engineering team for getting them built so quickly.”
