On 30 January 2020, WHO’s director declared that the outbreak of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) constituted a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC), accepting the Committee¶s advice and issuing temporary recommendations under the International Health Regulations (IHR).
