The UK Academic Salon

May 19, 2020 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm BST

One thing in the UK is certain, more change is coming. As economic and political relationships are renegotiated globally, universities are re-evaluating how they collaborate with partner institutions and industry across Europe and the world. How can the UK preserve its robust research reputation and output, and what more can be done to bolster strong, longstanding, knowledge-based partnerships? And finally, as universities, government and industry work towards solutions to the recent COVID-19 outbreak, we will look to better understand how innovation networks can ensure progress is being made, now and in the future.

Join university leaders, research champions and government representatives for a half-day webinar to discuss what will ensure the UK can continue to be an attractive place for impactful research. Closer to home, they will also discuss where the research and industry landscape can be rebalanced to enable the UK to flourish, and how new innovation ecosystems can be encouraged to thrive.

Join on 19 May 2020 for this year’s Academic Salon and be part of the discussions that are challenging the academy in 2020 and beyond.
